Godzilla Lives!

Prologue
The year was 1984 when an unnatural terror arose from the dead. It was a creature born of the atom, infused with the destructive power of mankind's greatest folly. Originally named after a legendary sea dragon, this monster would instead become known as Godzilla.
Thought killed 30 years ago by Dr. Daisuke Serizawa's invention the Oxygen Destroyer, Godzilla somehow returned to wreak havoc once more. At the height of the Cold War, this behemoth's return nearly harkened the end of civilization, but mankind fought back with a cutting-edge assault craft dubbed the Super-X. It seemed Man was victorious over the wrath of Nature, but Godzilla's fury would not be held at bay for long.
Ultimately, the day would be saved by the efforts of two men: Goro Maki and Professor Hayashida. They discovered that Godzilla had an instinctual response to the call of sea birds, following them--as certain other marine animals dobecause sea birds always know where to find food. Maki and Hayashida used this revelation against Godzilla and built a sonic transmitter that would lure him to Oshima Island. Having taken the bait, Godzilla fell into the active volcano Mount Mihara.
As it was consumed by liquid fire, the giant beast gave a blood-curdling cry that would not be soon forgotten, and the warning was understood: Mihara would not hold Godzilla for long. The King of the Monsters would have his revenge....
