Aside from the K-Girls, this is one of my few forays into anthro art.  I happen to be an Aries myself, but the real inspiration was the boss character Velius from Final Fantasy Tactics.  I didn't want to use the same name, so I took a hint from a role-playing fan on the TKT forum and created his name by reversing my own.
A generic yakuza thug, drawn relatively recently.  Not much to say about him, other than I dig the hair.  He seems to be equal parts Kuwabara (YYH) and Takamura (HnI).
Saya from Blood: The Last Vampire remains in the top five of my dream anime harem, nevermind the fact that she more likely kick my ass (as most of them could).  Guess I've got a thing for strong girls.  I made sure to do a detailed character analysis before attempting this one, because I wanted it to turn out right.  But the Chiropteran was done as an after thought, without reference.  This is one of those picks that I can't help myself from narcissistically admiring. ^___^
This is why I don't draw kaiju.  It's recognizable as Godzilla, but it just doesn't have that Godzilla-ish look.  Granted, this was drawn without any references.  I was aiming for my ideal Godzilla as seen in Gaijin Eiga.  It still looks pretty cool as a super-buff interpretation.
I've yet to watch all of Wolf's Rain, but it's pretty damn cool.  Kiba doesn't have a particularly outstanding design, but he's got a strong personality.  It may be difficult to see in the sketch, but his pupil is supposed to resemble a wolf howling at the Moon.  Yet another pic that needs to be CGed.
I don't know what could have possibly possessed me to draw these.  I think at the time, I was testing to see how well I could draw with a pen freehand (as oppossed to inking a sketch).  All in all, I think she's pretty darn cute.  Are we looking a future site mascot? ^o^
Hitokiri Nashiomo, the Faceless Manslayer.  A rival of Himura Kenshin from a now defunct RK fanfic.  I killed it because he didn't add anything to the story or characterization that you don't see in the anime's various filler stories.  His fight with Kenshin would have been awesome, what a shame.  However, this is one of my better pictures as the detail in his body and hands are really good and I like the hair style.  Also, those eyes just turned out good and creepy.
A blind ninja character, I drew him just as I started reading the Naruto manga (evident by the metal head band).  I don't normally draw a character's prelimanary design surrounded by all those little action poses, so enjoy it while it  lasts.
Megami yet again and yet again nude.  I tried for an extreme 3/4 angle, though I'm not sure how well it turned out.  Will probably look better CGed.
The king of advertising, Segata Sanshiro, he single-handedly launched the Sega Saturn to success in Japan.  You haven't lived until you've witnessed the exploits of such a true hero.  For more about this wonderful fellow, go check out Zany Video Game Quotes.
A pic of Aerin (the girl in front) and Val (the guy in back), the two principle characters of A Penny For Your Thoughts.  It  turned out all right, though I like the fire more than anything.  Aerin's gauntlet weapon was poorly designed.
Megami again, sans wings.  This was drawn with color in mind because otherwise, the real atmosphere of the picture is lost.  Unfortunately, I  don't have the time to CG it now.
Even though I took figure drawing classes in college, this is the first 'realistic' styled picture I've drawn for myself. Megami (Japanese for "goddess") is kind of just a filler name, though she's partly based on a real person.
One of those generic ninja/samurai characters, it didn't occur to me until later that he looked like a grown-up Muteki.  This was around the time that my drawing style got REALLY sketchy and messy.
Koh, hero of the PS1 game Azure DreamsAZ was one of the few "gotta catch'em all" games that broke the mold, though it remains an obscure title due to poor marketing.  Unfortunately, the in-game art made him look like a dork and I know I'm not alone when I thought the pimpin' millionaire philantropist explorer should look much cooler.  This is a slight variation of his pose on the back of the instruction  manual.  You can see on this one, like all my inked pictures, that I suck with a pen.
An old pic of a ninja boy.  His name is Muteki which means "immortal."  I can't recall what inspired this character, though perhaps I just wanted to draw a kid for a change.  Why doesn't he have a mouth?  I'm not sure. ¬_¬
A Shadow Skill-inspired gal fighter.  The premise was that she would be the first female combatant in a grand martial arts tournament, learning new skills from each round until she becomes a truly formidable challenge for the reigning champion, who turns out to be her long-lost brother.  If I ever draw a manga (or make a video game), I'd like to use her.
A super old character, so much so that his is the oldest drawing I deem worthy to be published online. I returned to this guy a couple times after the initial piece.  He's Val Reinheart, a character from Wasteland (one of many semi-planned original series) and a character in my short story, A Penny For Your Thoughts.  Totally badass design, done around the time I first got into Trigun.
A new piece for an old character; Isei Ro'ou (the star of my on-again/off-again Sailor Moon fanfiction) has undergone more revisions than anything else I've ever done.  I'm thinking about starting it up once more and this image popped into my head while taking notes.
I'm not so hot on costume design, so for this one, I originally drew a blank character and photocopied it, creating a template for which I could try various looks.  I ultimately settled on this mix of Native American and Romanesque dress.  The tattoos were inspired by the Samoan style.  I may have goofed the foreshortening on her leg. 6_6
Kari Byron for teh win!  A "Junior Mythbuster" from one of my favorite shows, she is the super hottie that makes every episode special (in my pants). ^_~
