I originally hated Teen Titans because it was trying so hard to be like anime, but it eventually grew on me.  Raven is definitely my favorite character.  Various touch-ups in Photoshop make for a custom image of her.  The massive sigil was edited from the one on the back of Arucard's gloves in Hellsing.
I wasn't really a fan of Legend of Zelda (I was a Sega-head in the 80s), but then I played Ocarina of Time and I realized how much cooler it is as a serious, cinematic adventure.  That's why I was so happy to see the preview of the new game, which sees a teen Link sporting a badass look and kicking some monster tail.  Now if only they'll dump that Zelda chick for a decent love-interesting.  Anyhoo, this wallpaper is pretty simple, but I made use of some custom brushes to add a Celtic flavor.
Most people's first reaction upon seeing this one is "WTF?!"  I take a cerrtain amount of delight in the utter inanity of this picture.  It was inspired heavily by a segment from Clerks: The Animated Series that goofs on anime.  Yes, that is suppose to be me.  The headband reads "Love & Peace."  The banners are "Friendship", "Effort", and "Victory" respectively.
Another wallpaper made from some random art by Hyung Tae Kim.  Unlike my previous one, I did very little editing to this; really just expanding the existing background.  I like the emptiness and green/orange color scheme, especially since it draws your eye back to the girl.
This wallpaper uses a pair of random characters drawn by Hyung Tae Kim, the genius artist behind such Korean PC games as War of Genesis and Magna Carta.  I love his style and envy his ability, so I definitely wanted to make a wallpaper with his work once I got my hands on some high-quality images.  There was a lot of text to remove from the original versions and I did some color adjustment to make them more vibrant.  The BG is a random beach wallpaper with some Photoshop effects.
Megan and Giganna, two of the K-Girl characters I designed for Twisted Kaiju Theater.  I decided this pic needed some kind of background instead of just having them floating in white space.  Sakura Matsuri is the Japanese cherry blossom festival.  That BG was made from scratch in Photoshop, though I admit that the inspiration came from a Card Captor Sakura pencilboard.
Long-time fans from the Enpitsudo Dojo might recognize this one.  It's a very old piece and the original concept for my defunct Sailor Moon fanfiction.  I'd like to finish it, but I've lost a lot of the reasons I had for doing it in the first place.  You folks have no idea how much research I put into making sure his character fit into the series continuity.  Anyway, this was an attempt at Takeuchi-san's style, with mixed results.
While perusing some Sailor Moon doujinshi, I found a particularly awesome image of my favorite Senshi that was just begging to be colorized.  With copious use of the Pen tool, I re-inked and colored the black and white page, then found a stock image of some thunder and threw this together.  Here's the original page, so you can compare.
